President duke has expressed display over the 'no paper for payslips' matter. It was reported in the local media that some employees at government ministries have not received payslips from the respective ministry's accounts department, for the recent pay period.

According to news reports, this is apparently due to the Finance Ministry, whose responsibility is to provide the slips has no paper to do so, nor monies to aquire the paper for printing payslips on.

President Duke stated that this situation is in fact a violation of the law. The unavailability of funds has also affected workers at the Treasury building where it is reported that workers were told to contribute money to buy items such as toilet paper and paper towels. President Duke noted action will be taken if need be.
