It is with great pleasure that I extend heartiest congratulations on the achievement of this significant milestone.

Firstly, special tribute must be paid to the founding Fathers for their foresight and determination to establish the Association against the great odds of the colonial era.
Over the seventy years of existence the Association has done a magnificent job in lifting the standard of living of Public Service Employees. In addition, the Association has by its diligence ensured that its Members' Rights have been preserved. Additionally, and very importantly, Negotiations with the Employer have resulted in vastly improved conditions of work.
In recent years under the astute and dynamic leadership of Mrs. Jennifer Baptiste-Primus, President, and her team of enthusiastic and dedicated Officers, both at Executive and General Council levels the Association has reached new heights. The on-going Programme of Education, the introduction of cultural activities, the establishment of new Branch Offices and the Housing Projects are a few of the achievements.
As the Association embarks on the next important milestones – the Seventy-Fifth and One
Hundredth Anniversaries, I have no doubt that there will be many more achievements added,
and I sincerely hope and trust that success greater than that achieved in the first seventy years will be experienced in the years ahead.
